I met Will when I worked at Lincoln Minster. I always found Will to be a very polite, well spoken and well mannered young man. When he left to go to school, else where (I can not remember where), I for one, was sorry to see him go. But to my surprise, he reappeared, back at Minster, very grown up and very sure of himself, happy and essentially much the William I had chatted to before. I left Minster last April, to relocate to Northumberland. I was so sorry to hear the sad news last November, from my old colleges. I only knew William as William until I chanced upon his full name in a news item and found this memorial. I felt I had to write, if only to convey the sadness I feel at his sad loss. This will be nothing to what his parents must feel but I hope they can draw some comfort knowing that William was a well liked young man whom they should be very proud of. Heather Gibson.
