I was deeply saddened to read of Williams passing and would like to offer my sincere and deepest sympathy. I had the pleasure of meeting William when I worked as a domestic at West Bank, Uppingham School. He was very fondly thought of by all the staff and we looked forward to his cheerful banter at lunch time when he would be hiding out in the laundry! So very funny and charming and almost impossible for Matron to keep a straight face as he would often pull her leg. Last time I saw William was just before he left, he was in sick bay and you had come to collect him. I wasn't sure if I should add my memory of William to your contribution page so I thought I would email you first. I left Uppingham in April 2014 after almost 10 years and I have to say that my memory of William will always bring a smile to my face.
